Use your Kindle as a GPS
Inside the browser
Press Alt + 1 (one)
Google Maps will now display your current location
Press Alt + 2 for a display of the nearest gas stations
Press Alt + 3 for a display of the nearest restaurants
Play Minesweeper
In the home menu, hold down Alt-Shift-M
use the I, J, K, and L keys to move up, left, down, and right
ALT-Scroll to toggle from row to row or column to column
M key marks the mine
Space key uncovers the cell
R key to restart
Using the clock
ALT+T on home screen or while reading a book
search button and type @time
Search the web
type your search in the search box followed by:
@store to search the Kindle store
@web to search the web
@wiki to search wikipedia
Short Cut Keys:
Alt-Shift-R reboot Kindle
In Reader
Alt-B toggle bookmark
Alt-T spell out time
Alt-0 enable/disable slideshow
Alt-1 start slideshow (if enabled)
Alt-2 stop slidehow
Alt-PageForward/PageBackward go to next/prev annotation or one "chunk" (1/20th of a book) forward or backward
Picture viewer
Alt-Shift-0 set current picture as screensaverF toggle fullscreen mode

Alt-Backspace clear all
Alt-H/Alt-J move cursor
Audio Player
Alt-F next
Alt-P play/stop![]()
